James Prudent Ph.D.

Dr. Prudent is the President and CEO of Centrose bringing over 25 years of biotechnology industry experience. Before Centrose, Dr. Prudent served as Chief Scientific Officer and Member of the Board of Directors at EraGen Biosciences and was an essential part of raising over $26 million in equity and grant funds for EraGen. He was responsible for technology and product development in the areas of cancer, infectious disease, cardiology, cystic fibrosis and general life science. Before EraGen, he worked at Third Wave Technologies (now Hologic Inc.) where he co-invented the Invader® Technology. Dr. Prudent was an integral part of transforming Invader into a multi-million dollar product line. Prior to Third Wave, Dr. Prudent worked for IGEN International (acquired by Roche in 2003) where he pioneered new methods of rapidly producing monoclonal antibodies.
He was recipient of the Frost and Sullivan 2005 Product of the Year Award and received the "Biotechnology Industry Organization's 2006 Innovation Award". Dr. Prudent received his Ph.D. in Chemistry at the UC - Berkeley  and his B.S. in Bacteriology and Medical Microbiology at the University of Wisconsin - Madison.

Steve Worsley

Mr. Worsley brings over 25 years in the biotechnology industry to Centrose. Mr. Worsley has executed numerous business transactions in the antibody drug market; most notably with the companies Abgenix, Inc, and Raven Biotechnology where he was responsible for out-licensing each of the company’s clinical-level assets. These transactions included agreements with numerous major pharmaceutical and large biotechnology companies for the licensing of early and late stage clinical products and the formation of joint ventures and other strategically important business development initiatives. Mr. Worsley led the out-licensing of Vectibix®, the first fully human monoclonal antibody specific to the epidermal growth factor receptor (HER1). Vectibix® is now manufactured and marketed by Amgen for the treatment of colorectal cancer. Most recently, Mr. Worsley was Vice President of Business Development with Intrexon, a privately held early-stage biotechnology company focused on drug development. Mr. Worsley graduated and received his MBA from University of Washington and graduated and received his BA degree cum laude in international economics/finance from University of Utah.

Dave Marshall

Dave Marshall brings over 20 years of broad biotechnology experience to Centrose. Prior to Centrose, he worked at EraGen Biosciences (now Luminex) where he co-invented multiple products for the analysis and detection of diseased genes and infectious organisms. Prior to EraGen, Mr. Marshall worked at Third Wave Technologies (now Hologic) where he helped develop and manufacture the one step Invader Platform. His areas of expertise include; cancer genetics, nucleic acid chemistry, molecular biology, biochemistry, cell culture, animal science and chemoprevention. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and is a named inventor on 6 issued US patents and 8 pending US applications.

Mohammed S. Shekhani PhD

Dr. Shekhani brings over 25 years of experience to Centrose. Prior to joining Centrose, he served as a consultant with several pharmaceutical companies where he managed discovery and development projects for his clients. Prior to that, he established and led the chemistry program of PanVera Corporation that was later acquired by Invitrogen through a series of successive acquisitions. At PanVera, Dr. Shekhani developed technology for high throughput drug discovery that led to products generating multimillion dollar revenues. Prior to PanVera, Dr. Shekhani was a lead chemist at Sandoz (now Novartis). Prior to moving to the pharmaceutical industry, he held academic positions in Europe and Asia. He specializes in synthetic organic chemistry, natural product chemistry and medicinal chemistry. He is an inventor and has author of numerous publications and books in the areas of organic chemistry. He has received prestigious honors and awards that include Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship, European Community Fellowship, International Centre of Sciences (Sweden) Fellowship and International centre of Chemistry (Trieste, Italy) Fellowship. He has served as the General Secretary of IUPAC (International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry) Natural Product Symposium. He received his PhD in Synthetic Organic Chemistry from State University of New York at Stony Brook.
