About Centrose

Centrose is applying scientific breakthroughs in targeting chemistry in order to discover, develop and commercialize therapeutics. Centrose enhances new drug candidates with the proprietary CarboConnect® drug discovery engine (see Science & Technology). Using CarboConnect® Centrose is making new drugs that contain novel sugar attachments. Centrose is also directing those drug leads using our knowledge of sugars found on diseased cell types.

Sugars are critical molecules that regulate biological processes and pathways in the human body and play fundamental roles in diseases as well as in drug action. From what Centrose now understands about sugar biology and medicinal sugar chemistry, our drug leads are expected to have fewer development failures and move quicker through the pipeline. So far, Centrose has provided drug lead programs that offer improvements in potency, selectivity and reduction in potential side effects due to off-target activities.
