Centrose is a Limited Liability Company headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin. The Company began operations in 2007. Centrose is in business to discover enhanced drugs in the area of oncology and to sell those drugs in the early clinical development stages.

Sugars hold great promise in the fight against disease. From specific changes in the ways cancer cells change their sugars, to the unique properties of drugs containing sugars, Centrose is working to produce drugs using new understandings in sugar chemistry and biology.

Centrose is now advancing its anticancer drug leads that have shown strong anticancer activity in laboratory animals. NSCLC is a major cause of cancer deaths and CEN09-106 and CEN09-107 (two sugar enhanced small molecule drug leads) have demonstrated strong activity against this cancer type. Centrose is currently testing these drugs for efficacy and toxicity in non-human primate models. These leads have been found to be up to 100-fold more potent than other drugs in their class and when tested in humanized transgenic animal models, no increase in toxicity was observed.

Through its initial license with WARF, Centrose owns the rights to 5 patents and multiple patent applications. Additionally, Centrose has filed additional patents on its discovered drugs and targeting systems. The portfolio encompasses drug leads, CarboConnect and targeting platforms.

To rapidly build value, the Centrose plan is to out-licensing drugs during the early stages of development in market areas of high unmet need. To sustain long-term growth, Centrose is perfecting its CarboConnect and targeting platforms that promise to deliver a deep pipeline of enhanced therapeutics. Recently the Company has built an in-house screening facility to increase drug discovery output and expand its drug targeting program.

Centrose outsources its animal testing and GMP large-scale manufacturing needs in an effort to focus on its core competencies.
