CarboConnect

The EDC Link

Modified sugars can dramatically influence the physical, chemical and biological properties of drugs. Sugars attached to proteins and small molecule drugs can increase activity and/or enhance their pharmacokinetic properties. Centrose has determined that sugar chemistry is a powerful method for attaching drugs to targeting molecules. Results show subtle changes in the sugar linkages can change EDC potency. To speed up the process of linking drugs to antibodies, Centrose developed CarboConnect®.  With CarboConnect, researchers can fully exploit the pharmacological linking properties of sugars with speed and efficiency. Centrose continues to perfect CarboConnect by adding novel sugars and screening modules to aid in our quest for new drugs.
